About Kapu Corporation
The Kapu community of Andhra Pradesh (i.e. the Kapu, Balija, Telaga and Ontari sub-castes), even though classified as Forward Castes, remain socially, educationally and economically backward, when compared to other forward castes in the state. Majority of the Kapu community do not own any land for cultivation, even though the main profession of this community is Agriculture. This has made them to work as landless labourers, compelling them to live in poverty.
